Your Role

As a student investor, you’ll meet founders, assess investment opportunities, and support portfolio companies. You'll be responsible for allocating our $600,000 fund and finding the best student entrepreneurs to back.

What You'll Learn

VC Experience: you'll go through the full process of finding and closing venture capital deals. You'll be investing real money in real founders.

Startup Knowledge: working directly with multiple founders, you’ll get a deep understanding of what’s it’s like to start a tech company from scratch. In the process, you’ll also learn about many different industries and tech trends.

Network: not only will you meet the best student entrepreneurs in Montreal, you'll do it under the mentorship of some of Montreal's best VCs.

Who We're Looking For

Hard-working students who are passionate about technology and startups, no matter what’s their background or field of study. Diversity is our strength, there is no typical FRV profile. However, here’s what everyone on our investment team will always have in common:

• We’ve been deeply curious and actively learning about tech startups for a while
• We are overachievers who understand venture capital requires hard work and sharpness
• We are university students based in Montreal who commited to work with FRV for at least a year (in your case, that means you’d have to be in school and stay with us until May 2019).
